Team Manchester United will face Bayern Munich despite Ten Hag picking up another injury.

Erik ten Hag has selected a 21-man team for the journey to Germany and the match against Man Utd in the Champions League.

For Manchester United’s opening match against Bayern Munich in the Champions League group stage, Mason Mount and Raphael Varane have not traveled with the team.

After sitting out the previous few weeks, Mount and Varane participated in a team training session on Tuesday morning at Carrington, but neither was deemed prepared to fly to Munich with their teammates.

While Mount has missed the last three games with a muscle issue, Varane has been sidelined for three and a half weeks with an unidentified injury.

Kobbie Mainoo and Sofyan Amrabat did not train with the United team and are currently not available. Additionally hurt are Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Luke Shaw, and Tyrell Malacia. Harry Maguire will not go because of what United confirmed to be a recent injury.

In anticipation of the resolution of his disciplinary problem, Jadon Sancho has been suspended from the team, and Antony has taken a leave of absence following charges of domestic violence. The United Champions League roster does not include Donny van de Beek.

Rasmus Hojlund, who left his full debut against Brighton on Saturday after 64 minutes, is expected to start his second game for United.

Supporters booed angrily when manager Erik ten Hag decided to take Hojlund off the field, but ten Hag claimed Hojlund was not fit enough to play the entire game.

Prior to his £72 million deal to United, Hojlund fractured his back during preseason training with Atalanta. It is believed that he reported to Carrington early on Monday to receive continued care.

Defenders: Diogo Dalot, Jonny Evans, Sergio Reguilon, Lisandro Martinez, and Victor Lindelof.

Christian Eriksen, Casemiro, Facundo Pellistri, Scott McTominay, Dan Gore, and Hannibal Mejbri are all midfielders.

Forwards: Omari Forson, Alejandro Garnacho, Rasmus Hojlund, Marcus Rashford, and Anthony Martial.
