After receiving a ‘unhappy’ answer from the Real Madrid star’s entourage, Getafe retracts its assertion that Jude Bellingham-Mason Greenwood was transferred to them.

Jose Bordalas, the manager of Getafe, has since apologized for remarks he made in which he claimed Jude Bellingham had advised Mason Greenwood to transfer to Spain.

Late in the summer transfer season, after finalizing a deal with Manchester United for Greenwood, Bordalas asserted that another English player in La Liga had given the go-ahead for that change.

Bellingham and Greenwood are buddies, and Greenwood suggested Bellingham come play in the Spanish league, the man said to Radio Marca.

After moving from Borussia Dortmund to Real Madrid for €103 million (£89 million/$110 million), Bellingham is now playing in La Liga.

According to The Athletic, his entourage is “unhappy” with suggestions that the 20-year-old midfielder spoke with Greenwood before it was revealed that he was leaving Old Trafford.

After Greenwood made his Getafe debut off the bench in their 3-2 victory over Osasuna, Boradalas sought to clarify his remarks.

He told reporters, “I wanted to clear up a mistake there has been. I claimed that Mason Greenwood communicated with Bellingham before traveling to Getafe.
