With seasoned superstars poised to compete for the famous title of the English top-flight’s best goal scorer, the fight for the coveted Premier League Golden Boot is once again in full swing.
In terms of the top scorer award for the 2023–24 season, Erling Haaland dominates his Premier League rivals both symbolically and literally. He must be, as the Norwegian striker set a new record for the most goals scored in a single Premier League season (36 goals), winning the Golden Boot in 2022–23.
Runner-up It would be intriguing to watch who Haaland will compete against for the Golden Boot in 2023–24 since Harry Kane, who in most other years would have won the award after scoring 30 goals last time out, left Spurs for German powerhouse Bayern Munich.
Marcus Rashford of Man United, who rediscovered his scoring touch last season, Callum Wilson and Alexander Isak of Newcastle United, and a slew of lethal attackers from either Liverpool (Mohamed Salah, Darwin Nunez, Cody Gakpo) or Arsenal (Gabriel Jesus, Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Martinelli) are all deserving candidates.

The competition for the Golden Boot previous season was one of the least exciting in Premier League history thanks to Erling Haaland.
The Norwegian giant finished the 2022–23 season with 36 league goals from 35 games, scoring four separate hat-tricks, making absolute fools of those who claimed he would need time to adjust to life in England.
In the 2023–24 season, the Norse titan has shown no signs of slowing down. He is in a league of his own. Haaland will probably be the division’s top hitman in 2019 barring an untimely injury or a protracted benching by Guardiola.
