I don’t understand! – Erik ten Hag’s performance against Brighton has shocked Manchester United fans.

The starting lineup for Man United’s Premier League match against Brighton & Hove Albion this afternoon has been announced by manager Erik ten Hag.

A number of alterations have been made in Erik ten Hag’s starting lineup for Manchester United’s Premier League matchup with Brighton & Hove Albion at Old Trafford this afternoon.

United will be aiming to rebound after being defeated 3-1 by Arsenal prior to the international break. They have lost each of their last three league encounters with the Seagulls. Marcus Rashford gave the Reds the lead, but goals from Martin Odegaard, Declan Rice, and Gabriel Jesus condemned them to defeat.

Ten Hag will be driven to get a positive response from his team as a result, since they have dealt with a lot of background noise leading up to this afternoon’s match. The Dutchman, as was predicted, has chosen to make three changes in total to the team that lost in north London.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Anthony Martial, and Antony have been withdrawn in favor of Sergio Reguilon, Scott McTominay, and Rasmus Hojlund, all of whom were acquired on the last day of the transfer window from Tottenham Hotspur. Diogo Dalot is now back in his preferred right-back position.

Meanwhile, names of the replacements include Harry Maguire, Dan Gore, and Facundo Pellistri. Raphael Varane and Sofyan Amrabat, two players who signed on the final day, are unable to play due to injuries.

Ten Hag will be aiming for a much-needed win from his team after deciding to make three changes to the lineup that lost to Arsenal as they look to get off to a winning start in what is expected to be a difficult month. The United fans’ immediate focus upon the official confirmation of the roster news has been on Pellistri’s exclusion from the starting lineup.

Below, MEN Sport has closely examined the reactions of several United supporters to Ten Hag’s decision to once again pass over the Uruguayan, who appeared poised to start on the right wing. Bruno Fernandes is expected to fill the role in its place.

@Utd-Hari asked why Bruno was playing on the wing. What must happen for Ten Hag to consider Pellistri?

@sriramofearth asked: “What should pellistri do to get a start, man!!!”

“Defence looks good but that midfield man,” wrote @lwasprimemarcus. Bruno’s strongest position is AM, thus why is he at RW? Such a joke. I hope Pellistri on right away.
