How Manchester United should prepare for their match against Brighton in the Premier League

On Saturday, writers have chosen their favorite starting lineups for Man United’s Premier League matchup against Brighton.

On Saturday afternoon, Manchester United will host Brighton at Old Trafford in the Premier League.

In their last four meetings, Brighton has outscored United 7-1 overall. Last season, during their most successful season ever, Brighton beat United twice in the league for the first time.

After a demoralizing 3-1 loss to Arsenal at the Emirates, United will find it difficult to return to winning ways because Roberto de Zerbi’s team finished sixth and qualified for the Europa League.

Early team news indicates that Mason Mount, Sofyan Amrabat, and Raphael Varane are not there, although Lisandro Martinez and Victor Lindelof are both healthy.

United performed admirably against Arsenal, but their strategy was too limited. They can’t get away with it against Brighton, thus a more aggressive and direct strategy is required.

After Anthony Martial was inexplicably chosen ahead of him against Arsenal, Rasmus Hojlund must start. Facundo Pellistri must make his entire debut due to a problem with four right-sided strikers, and he should be chosen over Jadon Sancho anyhow.

Victor Lindelof and Lisandro Martinez were able to recuperate quickly enough to play for their respective countries against Arsenal before being taken off.

When the team news is revealed, it might be a case of being disappointed but not shocked, with Ten Hag probably putting his trust in the players he knows best.

After a successful international break, Dalot appears to be the most likely candidate to start the game at left-back; nonetheless, it would be excellent to have Reguilon participate from the bench if at all feasible.

The choice of the right wing will support the attacking formation, and as Fernandes is most likely to play there, McTominay might be required in midfield while Amrabat regains his health.

Rashford on the left and Hojlund in the centre are both the sole options, to put it simply.

Dalot was outstanding against Arsenal at the Emirates, keeping the superb Saka quiet throughout the game. As long as he keeps playing at those levels, loanee Reguilon will have to wait to make his debut.

Eriksen should start from the opening kickoff since the midfield has appeared to gel in recent games. He started as a false nine against Brighton at Old Trafford, and Fred was preferred to him when the teams faced off at the Amex.

Pellistri has only played in 12 games for United, and one of those starts came in a pointless match against Real Betis in the second leg of the Round of 16 in the Europa League after the match had already been decided.

On the heels of Sancho’s social media outburst, he should make his complete Premier League debut today.
