Prior to the start of the international break, Jadon Sancho was left off of the Man Utd roster to play Arsenal, and he won’t be involved until further notice.
Due to a “squad discipline issue,” Jadon Sancho will not participate in team training until further notice, the club announced in a statement on Thursday.
Around 12.30 p.m. on Monday, Sancho arrived back to United’s Carrington training facility, where he was said to meet with Erik ten Hag to discuss their public argument following the team’s defeat to Arsenal just before the international break.
Sancho quickly reacted on social media, claiming he would not be used as a “scapegoat,” in response to Ten Hag’s claim that he was left out of United’s squad for the trip to the Emirates Stadium owing to his subpar performance in training.
A lot of people believed Sancho had deleted the post after settling the conflict with Ten Hag earlier this week, but it had really remained pinned to the top of his X page all week.
But as of right now, United has indicated that he would continue to train alone. On the day of the transfer deadline, another attacker, Mason Greenwood, left the team for Getafe on a season-long loan. United are already missing Antony, who is taking time away from the team to address claims of abuse, which he denies.
Prior to the Saudi Pro League’s transfer window closing on Thursday night, United did not completely rule out the idea of Sancho, 23, joining a Saudi club.
Ten Hag, who has repeatedly failed since joining United in July 2021, was reportedly growing impatient with Sancho, according to a story in The Manchester Evening News from April.
Sancho has a deal with United through 2026, and the team has the option of extending it by another year.
