Jadon Sancho reportedly turned down all late-summer transfer attempts as Manchester United put a price tag of £65 million, and instead traveled to New York to party with NBA star John Wall.

After his altercation with Erik ten Hag, Manchester United was reportedly eager to let Jadon Sancho depart for £65 million ($81 million), but he turned down all offers.

Sancho was not included in the United team that fell to Arsenal 3-1 earlier this month, with boss Ten Hag citing his “performance in training” as the reason. The England international denied that assertion and accused his boss of using him as a “scapegoat” for the team’s poor season start as he responded on social media.

The 23-year-old removed the message on Tuesday after pinning it to the top of his profile on X, formerly known as Twitter, for more than a week. The Athletic now says that the Red Devils were willing to offload the former Borussia Dortmund star following his outburst, when the Saudi and Turkish summer transfer windows were still open.

According to the source, Sancho was offered to Saudi teams for at least £65 million ($81.3 million), but the player and his representation refused any offers for him to leave the club. Sancho even traveled to New York with Aaron Wan-Bissaka the day before the Saudi transfer window closed on September 7 to celebrate NBA star John Wall’s birthday. According to The Athletic, Sancho and Ten Hag had not previously spoken, as many players who were not on international duty had been given time off.
