I’m reminded of Thomas Tuchel’s fantastic line from 2020, which perfectly captures Marcus Rashford

The ability of Marcus Rashford is evident not only to Man United supporters but also to rival coaches. Here is what Thomas Tuchel had to say in 2020 regarding the assailant.

The PSG manager, Tuchel, was quoted by Sky Sports as saying, “We value him very much when he plays in England and not Parc des Princes, honestly, because his scoring against us gets a little bit annoying.”

The young adult who is this person takes responsibility both on and off the field extremely admirably. It’s amazing that every time I’ve faced him as an opponent—three times—I’ve encountered a cool, modest guy who’s also a kind guy. I really enjoy this combination.

He poses a significant threat due to his speed, scoring prowess, tenacity, and finishing. He makes accurate shoots both inside and outside of the box. He is incredibly quick on counterattacks and powerful with headers in the air.

“It’s nice to see guys like him from the academy having such a big impact in a big, big club like United,” said one fan. “He’s had a big impact.”

Tuchel wasn’t being flattering: Marcus Rashford struck the deciding penalty kick in United’s 1-3 Champions League victory at Parc des Princes in 2019. Prior to that match, United had suffered an unexpected home loss, but Romelu Lukaky’s brace and Marcus Rashford’s goal secured the victory and advanced the Reds to the round of eight.
