Rasmus Hojlund of Manchester United describes the “lifelong dream” he realized last night.

In an effort to get closer to match fitness, the Man United striker spent 45 minutes against Finland on the bench.

On Sunday night, Rasmus Hojlund was leading the celebrations in Helsinki after Denmark defeated Finland 1-0 in their final Euro 2024 qualifying match of the break.

In the capital of Finland, the Manchester United striker saw his playing time increased once again. He entered the game at halftime and captained the team for the entire 45 minutes. Up until Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg arrowed in a late winner from a distance, his team had the majority of possession but appeared unhappy as the game drew toward a goalless draw.

After the final horn, there were scenes of celebration when the Danish team crossed over to their away end. We are the Danes, we are the Danes! was being chanted via the megaphone by Hojlund, who was smack in the thick of the action.

When asked if leading the fans was a dream, Hojlund responded, “I think so,” to Bold.dk. Since I was a young child, I have always sat in the stands for national and FCK (Copenhagen) games.

It was really cool. It was somewhat like living out a boyhood fantasy, and it was good enough to get on the microphone and address the crowd.

I am one of the younger players that needs to stand up to prove my value to the national team since they (the older players) want me to take on more responsibilities. I’m pleased with it because it gave me a boost.

The players leading the post-match celebrations is a common occurrence for the Danish national team, who continue to have a great rapport with their ardent fan base. Although Hojbjerg, the match’s victor, held the megaphone, Hojlund was thrust into the spotlight.

After the victory, Hojbjerg said, “I honestly would very much like to explain that. “I had to do it,”it following the San Marino match.

Rasmus has recently informed me that he believes I stammered a little bit while I had it together in front of the Park’s spectators. In order for the rest of us to chuckle at the fact that he was the one who murmured a little, I just wanted to send him on his way.

This week, Hojlund will return to United after making two more substitute appearances. The 20-year-old played both times off the bench, clocking 45 minutes Friday night and 30 against San Marino. Prior to both games, head coach Kasper Hjulmand acknowledged that he had spoken with the club and had decided to use caution.

It wasn’t until the Reds’ game against Arsenal that the striker made his Reds debut.

for 23 minutes after coming off the bench. He had missed the first month of his stay in Manchester due to a stress fracture that was discovered during his medical examinations.ma
