Erik ten Hag’s 16 additions to Manchester United were ranked from best to worst.

Here is a list of every player that Manchester United has acquired since hiring manager Erik ten Hag in the summer of 2016.

In his first year as Manchester United’s manager, Erik ten Hag has presided over a lot of adjustments.

The manager left Ajax last summer after concluding a fruitful tenure there by leading the club to the Eredivisie title. Ten Hag was met with a United team that, in accordance with the club’s expectations, had space for growth after finishing sixth under interim manager Ralf Rangnick.

United returned to the Champions League spots in his first season, won the Carabao Cup, advanced to the FA Cup final, and ge will look to expand on that early success in the upcoming year. Here is a look at how the 16 players that were signed under Ten Hag’s reign at Old Trafford have performed thus far.

It should be noted that eight players were not graded since they either never played for United or signed this summer and did not have enough opportunity to establish themselves.

Originally signed with Newcastle United

Following United’s decision to permit Dean Henderson to depart on loan, the skilled goalkeeper was brought in. Despite being back at Newcastle when the Carabao Cup final rolled around, he participated twice in United’s run to victory and was awarded a winners’ medal.

Wout Weghorst 7.

was a surprising signing during Ten Hag’s January search for a new number nine. Just two goals in 31 games for United, playing occasionally as the number 10, demonstrating his lack of proficiency in front of goal.

Antony 6.

Fee: £88.3m

Has struggled to live up to expectations after being at the center of a lengthy transfer story last summer. In all competitions, he has scored eight goals and provided three assists.

Marcel Sabitzer, no. 5

Cost: Loan

Awarded by Bayern Munich

Served as a wise addition, scoring three goals in 18 midfield appearances. He later joined with Borussia Dortmund after United decided against a permanent transfer in favor of other options.

Tyrell Malacia 4.

Fee: £14.7m

Feyenoord signed this.

In his first season, the left-back made a total of 39 appearances and competed well against Luke Shaw. Malacia’s injury had already shown how important he was to United’s depth in the squad, and when he is fully recovered, he will be hoping to stake his claim once more.

Christian Eriksen, third

No charge for transfer

Eriksen impressed United during his touching return season with Brentford, which led them to sign him. Eriksen was excellent in the first half of the season, but once he recovered from an ankle injury, his impact diminished. This season’s signings of Mason Mount and Sofyan Amrabat should be advantageous for him because they will give him time to recuperate and prevent burnout.

The Brazilian had a game-changing impact and was crucial to United’s relative success the previous season. The 31-year-old has frequently been exposed due to changes to the team’s midfield in the early weeks of the new season, but Amrabat’s signing could aid him.

Given his abilities and Chelsea’s desire to restructure their club, he seemed to be the perfect addition for Ten Hag’s squad. However, Mount has so far unable to show off his brilliance while wearing a United jersey, and he now has new addition Amrabat to contend with.

Onana has already proven he has the character to succeed David De Gea as the club’s starting goalkeeper, having just advanced to the Champions League final from last season. will assist in putting Ten Hag’s playing style into practice, and early reactions have been positive.

Atlanta is the signatory.

The need for a striker at United was well known, so how the promising prospect handles the pressure will be being watched. Hojlund had to wait to make his debut, but his brief performance for Arsenal showed promise. Observe and see.

Altay Bayindir did not answer the question

Fenerbahce is the signatory.

Prior to joining United, the 25-year-old was serving as the Turkish giants’ captain. will address the issue of a back-up goalkeeper that Dubravka and Butland’s prior employment revealed.

a reaction to Malacia’s continued absence as well as Luke Shaw’s injury. He was Spurs’ initial first-choice player but was loaned to Atletico Madrid last season. He is now searching for another opportunity in English football.

Fiorentina signed it.
