Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, a former manager of Manchester United, has confirmed conversations about a comeback.

Initially selected as the Reds’ interim manager in December 2018, United hero Solskjaer later received a permanent appointment. Before leaving Old Trafford due to a poor start to the 2021–22 season, the 50-year-old spent two complete seasons in command at the club, finishing third and second in the Premier League and making it to the Europa League final.

The former Reds striker has been jobless since November 2021 after having worked for almost three years in one of the most prominent positions in international sport. The Norwegian coach has now disclosed, nevertheless, that he has been contacted regarding a new position at the international level.

Solskjaer said, “Yes, I have spoken to the association about the job as national coach – of course I have it. When asked if he had been approached about the open Norway Women’s position. They’ve enquired. However, I’m not yet prepared for it,” Solskjaer told NRK in Norway.

Given that his daughter Karna plays for AaFK Fortuna, Solskjaer was speaking at a gathering about equal opportunity for women in football. The former United manager stated that he already has an idea for his next position but would not rule out the prospect of accepting it in the future.

At least on the men’s side, I have one more task to complete first. That much is certain, Solskjaer said. “I’d prefer to assist [the Norway Women team]. I would be delighted to assist.

“However, because I’m a football nerd, I don’t rule it out. still not. since my family and I are doing so well, I have boys who are 16 years old, and I am living my dream. It’s fantastic to be able to come here and watch games without becoming anxious.
