Youngster Rhys Bennett of Man United is getting closer to recovering from an injury he sustained during preseason.
Rhys Bennett, a young player for Manchester United, is almost ready to resume full training as he recovers from an injury.
Bennett, 19, played the second half of the first preseason match against Leeds in Oslo on July 12. He had a “minor injury” during that outing, which prevented him from being selected for United’s USA trip.
Bennett has reportedly made strides in his recuperation and is now on the verge of starting up his full training program once more.
“After making a strong comeback, I have sustained a small injury. After suffering an injury in the 2-0 friendly win over Leeds, the player posted on social media that he would “hopefully soon be back out there playing.”
Bennett’s new contract was revealed at the end of July in light of his advancement at the academy. The defender is well-liked by the coaching staff at the club, and he led the FA Youth Cup-winning squad in 2021–2022.
Bennett, who was born and raised in Denton, is a natural center back. He participated in 14 games for the Under-21s last year, and in December, he was named to the first team’s matchday roster for a Premier League matchup against Nottingham Forest.
The defender has previously stated that playing for United is his dream. “Playing at Old Trafford is undoubtedly a dream for United players who have advanced through the ranks. Stepping onto the field and giving it everything is just an incredible experience, according to Bennett.
“It’s a very amazing experience. I must not consider it a given. You don’t know how frequently you’ll step outside at Old Trafford. Every time that happens, you must simply accept it, go on and give your all, and ideally continue to work hard in order to play as many games at Old Trafford as you can. Every time I go outside, I enjoy it.
