At the age of 31, he retired from playing after his final season with Turkish club Adana Demirspor.

Lindegaard, Anders

As United’s backup goalkeeper, Lindegaard left in the summer of 2015, and Sergio Romero replaced him.

The Dane played for four English clubs over the next years—West Brom, Preston North End, and finally Burnley—before moving to Sweden to play for Helsingborgs, where he stayed until November 2022.

Center-back Tom Thorpe Thorpe only ever appeared on the field once for United, joining the team’s triumph over West Ham United in 2014.After leaving ATK of the Indian Super League in 2018, he was without a club for five years before signing with Macclesfield in February 2023.

In 2017, he departed the Toffees for Watford, where he finally assumed the captaincy. Injury forced him to retire in July 2023, and he now works as a coach at the Watford academy.

Milinkovic-Savic Vanja

The Serbian midfielder’s brother, Milinkovic-Savic, left Manchester United in 2015 due to work visa issues and enjoyed a fruitful campaign at Lechia Gdansk in Poland.

The goalkeeper, who later relocated to Torino, played for the Belgian club against Arsenal in the Europa League while on loan at Standard Liege during the 2019–20 season. Due to this, Torino decided to extend his contract until June 2024.
