More speculations of transfers and Jadon Sancho’s departure being “scuppered by Manchester United demand”
According to a source, Jadon Sancho wanted to join Al-Ettifaq of the Saudi Pro League, but a deal fell through because Manchester United insisted on a £50 million obligation-to-buy provision.
Following his public conflict with Erik ten Hag over training intensity levels, the winger’s future has been uncertain this week. The prospect of moving to Saudi Arabia was raised because the country’s transfer window is still open through Thursday.
Jordan Henderson recently signed with Steven Gerrard’s Al-Ettifaq, who reportedly made a loan bid to Sancho. According to the Daily Mail, who also notes that United’s need for a future-sale contract was the only reason the deal fell through.
According to the report, Sancho was considering the move but the £50 million transfer fee was ‘too high’ for the Saudis to guarantee. According to Sky Sports, the star will discuss his game improvement with club staff during the international break.
Sancho has participated in three games this year, starting each one from the bench. Ten Hag said he was left off the team against Arsenal because of his inability to perform at the acceptable level in training. Sancho responded by posting a statement on social media in which he claimed he was used as a “scapegoat.”
Axel Tuanzebe, a former United defender, has joined Ipswich Town. After 37 senior games for the Reds, the defender was released in the summer. He had previously been on loan at Aston Villa, Napoli, and Stoke City.
He has spoken to Sheffield United and Luton Town, according to reports, and was reportedly in talks to join Real Betis in Spain. However, at Portman Road, he has strengthened his relationship with former United coach Kieran McKenna.
