Jesus says of his teammate at Arsenal, "From day one, I've been a big fan."

Gabriel Jesus stated of Eddie Nketiah, “I’ve always been a great fan of Eddie because of the amazing job he does and the way he trains.

“Coming from the academy at a big club and competing to play in the main team is not easy.Congratulations to him; he deserves to be called up to the England national team because he is performing so well.

It’s a healthy level of competitiveness for me. It’s always beneficial to the team because I’m improving because of him, and he’s improving because of me.

Jesus made an impression after moving from Manchester City to Barcelona last summer, but he suffered an injury in Brazil’s World Cup group match against Cameroon that sidelined him in December.

The 26-year-old did not play again for Arsenal until mid-March, and last month he required another surgery because the previous knee issue was still bothering him.

The striker completed a dramatic late 3-1 Premier League comeback victory against Manchester United on Sunday, his second substitute appearance since then.
