Man City is planning to offer Erling Haaland a £600,000 a week contract out of concern that he might be enticed away by Saudi clubs or Real Madrid.

To stave off prospective interest from Real Madrid and Saudi Arabia, Manchester City is prepared to extend the contract of their productive striker.

The Daily Star says that Haaland is expected to be offered a salary in the neighborhood of £600,000 per week. Haaland is coming off a hat-trick in Saturday’s victory over Fulham. It is obvious that the English champions will do whatever it takes to keep the striker.

This summer, Saudi Arabian clubs exercised their financial muscles, attracting a number of high-profile players away from the Premier League. Real Madrid is searching for a replacement for Karim Benzema after the Frenchman himself left for Saudi Arabia. Even though Jude Bellingham had a strong start, Los Blancos will undoubtedly be monitoring Haaland’s condition.

In the event that City’s ambitions materialize, the 23-year-old might be in line for yet another hefty windfall. Haaland is currently on international service and is expected to participate in Norway’s upcoming matches against Jordan and Georgia.
