Mason Burstow, a striker for Chelsea, has officially signed a contract with Sunderland of the Championship, the club’s official website reports.
Last month, the 20-year-old made his Blues first-team debut. He has played in three senior matches for Chelsea in total, including the victory over AFC Wimbledon in the Carabao Cup, where he started.

Burstow remarked upon joining Sunderland, “I’m buzzing to be here – it’s a massive club with a terrific head coach and enormous expectations.
“I’m here to score goals for the team and keep the crowd entertained. After the international break, I can’t wait to enter the Stadium of Light for the first time.
Burstow is joining a pretty capable team in Sunderland, who last season challenged for promotion to the Premier League and participated in the playoffs.
