Manchester United encountering issues with Mason Greenwood transfer interest

The transfer deadline for Man United is tonight, but Mason Greenwood will likely remain at the team beyond that.

After reaction regarding prospective movements on social media, a number of teams have lost interest in Mason Greenwood.

Greenwood, 21, will depart Manchester United, the club said this week after a six and a half month internal probe was completed.

In February, charges against Greenwood for attempted rape, coercive behavior, and violence were dropped, and United’s initial plan was to reintegrate him into the first-team squad.

However, a whistleblower disclosed information about United’s plans, and fans passionately opposed the idea of Greenwood returning to the team.

Although United have reportedly received numerous inquiries about Greenwood, it is believed that after certain clubs’ identities were revealed, they withdrew their inquiries due to reaction from their supporters.

Greenwood’s potential suitors are now being withheld by United, and it appears doubtful that he will move before tonight’s 11 p.m. transfer deadline for most European clubs.

However, Saudi Pro League officials have stated that none of their clubs will move for Greenwood, despite the fact that the Turkish, Portuguese, and Saudi Arabian transfer windows are all open for a longer period of time.

The last time Greenwood played was on January 22, 2022, and since then, he hasn’t practiced with United. While Greenwood is still a member of the team, United has no intention of letting him train or play for them. Up until 2025, Greenwood is bound by a contract.

United thinks that following tonight’s Premier League transfer deadline, Eric Bailly and Donny van de Beek may both leave the same club for other opportunities.
