Erling Haaland just won the UEFA Men’s Player of the Year title and has since expressed his delight in his time at Manchester City.
With victories over players like Harry Kane and Bukayo Saka for the PFA Men’s Player of the Year earlier this week and the UEFA Men’s Player of the Year for 2022–23 on Thursday, the prolific Norwegian international did not disappoint when it came to this summer’s award shows. He has since discussed “living the dream” in the wake of his success. Last season, he won the Champions League, Premier League, and FA Cup.
“I’m doing fine. When receiving the UEFA award, Haaland commented, “I won the treble at the age of 22. “In a way, I’m living the dream; when I was younger, this was my ideal world. It’s special that my team and I can accomplish this together. It greatly inspires me to continue working and win more of these trophies. My goal this season is to maintain mental clarity. After we win the Champions League, even more eyes will be on us. We need to be more alert and organized. I’m prepared to give it my all and do my hardest to have another fantastic season.
Even though the season has only just begun, Haaland’s squad is already in the lead. While City’s play hasn’t quite reached the exhilarating levels of last year, they still have a maximum of nine points from three games, and the club hierarchy are working to further bolster the squad for the upcoming season, with Matheus Nunes of Wolves on the verge of a lucrative transfer to Manchester.
